About Me:

Hey, my name is Tre Henderson who is 21 years old and his majoring in general business at Southern University.  I have 3 siblings to which I am the middle child. I currently am working at a car shop that specialize in body work and engine work. I have been working there for the past three years to chase my passion of working with and on cars. I was first introducing to car scene from my grandfather who is a collector in antic cars. After he took me to the grand national drag strip racing event in Houston, I had fell in love with cars. Ever since then at the age of five, I have been obsessed with all kinds of cars to old school, trucks, sports, and race cars. My dream one day is to have my own tire shop to where I'm able to get into the drag racing scene. 

How it Started:

It had started back in 2007 at the age of five. When my grandfather had took me to the spring national drag racing event in Houston, Texas. Just watching how much calculations, parts, and work it takes to prepare a car for a race had really drawn my attention. Ever since then I got my first project car to work on which was a 1982 El Camino. Which had turned out to become a beautiful ride. After years of working on the El Camino it just had become a hobby and passion that I want to do in the future. 

How its going:

It has been going good with adding more project cars to my collection. I have another 1979 El Camino, 2015 Dodge challenger, and 2020 5.0 Mustang that is in the works. I have been learning more and more everyday about cars. Now totaling over 15 years with car experience. Now entering local drag racing tournaments in Greer, SC to try make a name for myself. I have worked my way up the chains in the car shop I currently work at hopefully one day owning one of my own. 

Accomplishments:

• I have finished 2 total project cars with 3 more left.
• Have won a tournament at my local drag strip racing place.
• one of the head advisors at my car shop

Fun Facts:

• I've got car that can top at 220mph.
• I know how to build a motor and install it.
• Most my project cars come from a junk yard.
• I got my second project car done at the age of 12.
